Deloitte UK economist comments on this morning's GDP figures

Debapratim De, UK Economist at Deloitte, comments on the latest GDP figures:

“Today’s GDP data provides further evidence of economic stagnation in the fourth quarter. Political uncertainty and a global slowdown continued to blight UK activity in November.

However, recent surveys such as the latest services PMI and Deloitte CFO Survey, suggest that the outlook has improved somewhat, with business confidence staging its sharpest rise on record among UK CFOs.”
