Deloitte’s financial services team grows with key partner appointment

9 December 2015

Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has appointed technology specialist Andy Lees as a partner in its financial services team.

Andy joins from Capgemini, where he was UK CEO of its financial services business. Prior to this, he worked for Atos Consulting as a managing partner, after spending many years at KPMG in its IT advisory business. At Deloitte, Andy will advise general insurance and retail banking companies on how they can change their businesses to better use new technology and digital strategies.

David Rush, head of insurance at Deloitte, said: “Andy has a proven track record of creating innovative new technology solutions for the businesses he works with. With the fintech revolution gathering pace across financial services, his expertise will greatly help our insurance and banking clients.”

Andy Lees added: “This is a very exciting time for the financial services industry. We are seeing a significant level of operational change in the big players, particularly when it comes to incorporating new technologies. However, these businesses are being kept on their toes, given competition from new entrants challenging the status quo through digital innovation. I am pleased to join a firm that has invested in digital, as it shows commitment to helping companies respond to today’s technology challenges.”
