Deloitte appoints Mark Howard as Director in the Indirect Tax Litigation Advisory and Strategy team
4 January 2016
Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has announced the appointment of Mark Howard as Director in the Indirect Tax Litigation Advisory and Settlement team.
Mark is an accredited mediator and will be working with clients on strategies for dealing with disputes. He joins the firm from PwC, where he most recently led on non-litigious Indirect Tax disputes within PwC. Mark worked on tax investigations and indirect tax teams for 18 years within PwC and also managed and worked on implementing VAT and sales tax in various emerging economies including India, Bangladesh, Albania, Pakistan and Rwanda.
Jane Curran, Partner and Strategy lead for the Litigation Advisory and Settlement team said: “We are delighted to have appointed Mark who brings unequalled experience to our team. Increasingly our clients are seeking to settle issues by means other than lengthy and costly litigation and Mark's hire is entirely in line with our strategy to provide unequalled support in this regard.”
Mark Howard said: “I am delighted to be joining Deloitte, one of the UK’s most successful professional services firms, and am looking forward to bringing my experience and expertise in working in Indirect Tax dispute resolution to the firm.”
