Deloitte partner honoured in the 2017 Power Part Time List

31 January 2017

Sarah Humphreys, a partner in the tax practice at Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has been named in the 2017 Power Part Time List. The list, which is compiled by Timewise, is a roll call of 50 powerful UK executives, who all work part time or flexibly.

Sarah joined Deloitte as a graduate and has worked part-time since having her first child in 2009. She leads Deloitte’s Private Equity Tax group in London and was promoted to partner in June 2016, working on a part-time basis.

Sarah is an agile working role model, demonstrating that it is possible to be a partner and work part-time. She works hard to ensure her colleagues can also achieve the balance between parenthood and a successful career. She mentors both male and female colleagues, including those returning from maternity leave.

Sarah Humphreys comments: “I’m honoured to have been included in the Timewise 2017 Power Part Time List. By opening up about my own personal working patterns, I can help pave the way for future generations of workers - men as well as women - who will need to fit work with other major commitments in life.”

Timewise Joint CEO and judge Karen Mattison MBE, who led the initiative from the start, says: “Sarah and all winners from our top 50 and Ones to Watch categories represent how work in the UK is changing, and offers us a glimpse into how jobs will be designed in the future. All it takes is an open minded employer who is prepared to try something new in a bid to hire or keep the best people, and an innovative solution is born. I am delighted that the conversation is moving away from WHY people need to work flexibly, to HOW businesses and individuals are making it work.”
