Deloitte launches search for 40 new society partners
19 January 2016
Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has opened applications for its new Society Partnership programme. The Society Partnership programme, which combines the firm’s previous charity partnership and social innovation pioneers programmes, will support up to 40 charity partners and social enterprises across the UK.
The new programme will focus on the theme of creating and inspiring ‘One Million Futures’. All applicants must be able to demonstrate how their work impacts employability, either through raising aspirations, improving skills or developing leaders. Each of the charities and social enterprises recruited as partners will work with the firm to impact individual’s ‘futures’, be that with young people, those not in employment or training, those who have been out of work due to illness or those transitioning between careers.
Claire Burton, head of corporate responsibility at Deloitte, said: “We have set an ambitious target to focus our efforts on impacting one million futures and we are seeking innovative and exciting new society partners to help us achieve this in the UK. We are looking forward to seeing a broad range of organisations apply and working together to really make an impact that matters.”
The charity partners will work with all of Deloitte’s UK offices, with one charity aligned to each regional office and five to the firm’s London office. The five London charity partners will each be allocated to one of Deloitte’s service lines: Tax, Consulting, Audit, Financial Advisory and Internal Client Services. The social enterprises will receive support from across the firm’s regional and London offices in the UK.
Each of the society partners will receive access to professional skills and expertise on a voluntary basis, as well as the opportunity to receive tailored pro-bono assistance. Charity partners will also receive access to fundraising support. All selected social partners will have the opportunity to meet with, connect and learn from each other as the programme progresses.
Applications for the Society Partnership programme are open until midnight on February 14 2016. Further information on how to apply can be found at www.deloitte.co.uk/societypartnerships.
