Slight relief for manufacturing industry ahead of Brexit vote

Commenting on the IHS Markit/CIPS UK Manufacturing PMI, which went from 51.1 in October to 53.1 in November, Duncan Johnston, UK manufacturing industry leader at Deloitte, said:

“Continued concerns about the prospect of a ‘no deal’ Brexit have led to an increase in domestic demand and stocks, driving a rise in manufacturing employment.”
