Westbrook takes top North West role at Deloitte
1 November 2018
Andy Westbrook has been named the new practice senior partner at Deloitte in the North West.
As head of the business advisory firm’s North West corporate finance advisory practice, Andy has over 24 years’ experience in lead advisory roles on transactions. Over this time, he has led a number of high profile corporate and private equity deals, providing both sell side and buy side advice.
Andy takes over the role from Richard Bell, who had held the position for five years and has recently taken on the role of leading the firm’s financial advisory practice across the UK.
This appointment follows a period of strong growth for Deloitte. In August, the firm announced its eighth consecutive year of revenue growth, with UK turnover rising 5.9 per cent to hit £3,580m. With offices in Manchester, Liverpool and the Isle of Man, Deloitte employs over 800 people in the North West region.
Andy Westbrook, practice senior partner at Deloitte in the North West, said: “It is an honour to lead Deloitte in the North West – a business that is characterised by great people and a large number of very supportive and significant clients. With this foundation, there is an opportunity for us to continue to make a real impact in the region, both to our clients and the wider community.
“Richard Bell has done a fantastic job of leading our business over the last five years, as can be seen by the contribution we have been able to make to the success of our clients and the wider region. I will be looking to build on this success so we can continue to deliver the best solutions to our clients, while offering unrivalled career opportunities for our people.”
Richard Bell said: “It has been a privilege to have acted as North West practice senior Partner for the last five years. The North West practice plays a key role for Deloitte in the UK, and I am extremely proud of what we have achieved during my tenure. Our success has been based on fantastic client relationships across each of our service lines, and is underpinned by an outstanding team across our Manchester, Liverpool and Isle of Man offices. I have known Andy as a colleague and friend for over twenty years, and his passion for our region has been a constant during this time. This, combined with his experience as a market-leading business advisor and deal-maker, makes him absolutely the right choice as my successor. I look forward to working alongside him in his new role.”
