Upskilling ex-military personnel

The Deloitte Military Transition and Talent Programme

How can we enable ex-military to transition into the civilian work force?

Team building, problem-solving, calmness under pressure are just a few of the many skills that former service men and women bring to our firm through the Deloitte Military Transition and Talent Programme (DMTTP).

How we're making an impact that matters

The Deloitte Military Transition and Talent Programme (DMTTP), now in its third year, supports ex-military personnel making the transition to civilian life, by guiding them through job opportunities in the private sector.

In the past year, 441 transitioning service men and women have attended our Insight into Professional Services events, with 38 veterans joining Deloitte at grades ranging from director through to senior consultant, spanning all of our service lines and a range of UK offices.

We continue to contribute to the wider debate about how best to support military veterans, producing a series of recommendations in a Veteran’s Employment report for the Royal Foundation. In recognition of the work of the DMTTP, we were awarded the Veteran’s Council Centre of Excellence Award, given to organisations that have gone beyond their ‘call of duty’ in support for the armed forces community.

The Ministry of Defence also recognised Deloitte with a silver award for our work with service leavers and the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant.

"I’m immensely proud of the positive impact we’re having as a Firm across the armed forces community and wider industry as service leavers make the transition into a new commercial career."
