The Leeds Crane Survey 2014
Last year saw the highest number of new development starts in Leeds City Centre in five years. Throughout 2014 we have witnessed a rising number of cranes on the Leeds skyline, can we therefore confirm that we are in a new development cycle?
The latest Leeds Crane Survey shows a significant increase in new construction starts, but with occupier demand rebounding as the economy recovers, many sectors remain undersupplied.
Nine schemes have completed since last year’s survey, consisting of:
- 215,891 sq ft of office space across six buildings
- 80,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space
- 532 student beds
