Local riders take on Deloitte Ride Across Britain

September 2017

Members of our Yorkshire and North East practice are taking part in Deloitte Ride Across Britain to raise money for Into University.

On 9 September, our local riders joined over 150 colleagues to embark on an incredible 972 mile challenge, cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats.

Matt Nicholson, a director in our financial advisory team and Carmen Morrison, an analyst in our tax team are both taking on the full ride to raise funds for Into University.

Into University was selected to be one of Deloitte’s charity partners as part of their new social impact strategy One Million Futures which aims to have a positive impact on the futures of one million people over five years, by supporting them to get to where they want to be; whether it’s in the classroom, the workplace or the boardroom.

Mohit Malhotra, a director in our tax team rode on 11 and 12 September, from Bath to Haydock with clients.

Deloitte Ride Across Britain is not for the faint-hearted; each rider will climb the equivalent height of two Mount Everest’s. They'll put in some serious pedal power - turning their pedals 325,000 times while tackling the infamous British weather and climbing the famous Deloitte Three Peaks.
