Shining the spotlight on our array of talent

The 12^th North East Accountancy Awards gathered together the best of the North East finance community to share successes and achievements of the past year.

Deloitte showed their strength in the field of taxation with Leah Kindleyside picking up the award for Rising Star Tax Adviser of the Year and Julia Fox winning Tax Adviser of the Year.

Stephen Hall, office senior partner at Deloitte in the North East, said: “I am very proud of our growing North East office, which employs more than 250 people, and these awards are recognition of the fantastic work carried out by the team.

“I am personally delighted for Leah Kindleyside and Julia Fox for winning their awards. This is a great achievement by both Leah and Julia who clearly articulated the impact they have made within Deloitte over the last year.

“I’d also like to highlight finalists Carey Stuart, who was nominated in the Accountant of the Year category, and David Hicks, who was nominated as Tax Adviser of the Year.

“I’m really pleased that Leah, Julia, Carey and David were recognised at the awards dinner. They all do an amazing job and should be very proud.”
