With the rapid market growth in Chinese football, the Chinese Super League (CSL) appointed Deloitte Sports Business Group to conduct a review of the league’s sponsorship offering and advise the CSL on its commercial strategy.
The Sports Business Group and the local Deloitte team in China conducted a full review of the CSL’s sponsorship rights, including an assessment of key drivers such as the league’s broadcasting arrangements, competitiveness, quality of the competition operations, matchday and clubs’ operations.
The report also included some international benchmarking analysis, a national level survey of fans, and consultations with existing and potential sponsors.The Deloitte team advised the CSL on its medium and long term commercial strategy.
