Feasibility study for a new Belgium national stadium
Together with colleagues in Deloitte Belgium, the Deloitte Sports Business Group assisted the City of Brussels in its bid to host UEFA European 2020 Championship matches by undertaking a general feasibility study for a new Belgian National Stadium.
Deloitte were engaged on behalf of the City of Brussels to provide an independent and objective assessment of a potential new national stadium for Belgium.
The initial work identified the main revenue and cost drivers associated with a new 60-65,000 seater stadium under a number of facility scenarios, together with an overall feasibility assessment for the financing of such a project. As part of this work Deloitte attended workshops with the various stakeholders associated with the project including the City of Brussels, Belgian FA, architects and advisors.
Our recommendations helped inform the submission to be a host location for the UEFA European Championships 2020.
