The challenge
When you’re running an international business, the smooth transition of your goods from and into the UK couldn’t be more important. Your goods not only need to arrive, they must arrive without delay.
However at the end of the Brexit transition period, there will be new customs formalities to address the movement of goods to and from the EU. The UK government are estimating that an additional 205 million customs declarations* will be filed annually. And, with 180,000 traders^ making customs declarations for the first time in January 2021, some may not know that the process can actually be simplified depending on their trading requirements – saving them both time and money.
That’s why we’ve created Global Trade Bureau – it’s an end-to-end customs compliance solution that reviews your business’ trade needs and recommends the right customs procedure for you, taking care of your customs compliance requirements, declarations and filing when your goods arrive at the border. And, with the ability to review the end-to-end process, we’ll help keep your business moving.

How it works

How it works
Review and conduct viability assessment of CFSP
We will work with you to review the viability of Customs Freight Simplified Procedures (CFSP) for your particular supply chain movements. If it is a suitable option in delivering value to your business, we will work with you to submit a request for authorisation with HMRC.
Preparation of declarations pre-arrival
We receive notification of your shipment details and monitor the ETA of your goods whilst we’re preparing your declaration pre-arrival.
Shipment is customs cleared
Global Trade Bureau submits the frontier declaration to HMRC once your goods arrive, facilitating clearance of your shipment at the port of arrival.
Supplementary declarations submitted and audit checks completed
We create a customs declaration file in our Duty Management System, complete quality assurance checks and submit the Supplementary Declaration to HMRC.
Access performance reporting
The reporting we provide allows you to keep on top of Key Performance Indicators such as completion of customs declarations, monitoring of duty deferment and document processing time.
