Graeme Lawes

Graeme is a Director in the compulsory purchase team and provides land assembly advice to local authorities, developers and other promoters of major infrastructure projects and regeneration initiatives. His work includes advice on procedural matters and the negotiation of compensation payable to affected parties, which typically involves the land acquisition by agreement in parallel with the statutory process.

Graeme has worked on various high profile schemes including Crossrail, the 2012 Olympics and HS2. Current clients include the transport and energy sectors, private developers and various London boroughs and other local authorities. Graeme has acted as expert witness at several compulsory purchase order public inquiries and given evidence to the Lands Chamber of the Upper Tribunal.
