Ian Goodsell

Ian is a Partner in Deloitte’s Private Client Services team, serving internationally mobile Ultra High Net Worth individuals and Family Offices.

Ian has over a decade of experience of designing bespoke international structures, often involving discretionary trusts, taking into account his clients’ specific long-term needs.

He is expert at helping non-UK resident UHNW clients structure investments in the UK. He has also helped numerous individuals plan to become resident in the UK with advice covering residence and domicile, the remittance basis, associated reliefs and exemptions, as well as the UK’s comprehensive anti-avoidance provisions.

Ian looks after a number of families who have connections to the US, and helps his clients navigate the complex UK/US tax interactions that this brings.

Ian is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and was listed four times as one of ePrivateclient’s Top 35 Under 35.
