Mike Eckes

Mike is a partner in the International Assignee Services practice based in London with over 18 years’ experience of advising clients with some of the largest expatriate programs on mobility, reward and employment tax matters. Mike is a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians and the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

Mike started his career at Deloitte where he focussed on delivering expatriate tax services to mainly US headquartered financial services clients. During this time Mike advised on both UK and US personal tax matters, and spent a 5 month secondment in Mumbai overseeing the delivery of US tax returns for his clients.

In 2003 Mike moved to KPMG where he initially focussed on the area of reward and incentives for both UK domestic and globally mobile employees. During this time Mike worked with clients from a wide range of sectors including retail, consumer business, manufacturing, financial services and funds. During the latter part of his time in KPMG, Mike moved back into advising clients on global mobility and he was the partner responsible for 3 of the firm’s 4 largest mobility clients.

Mike re-joined Deloitte in June 2015 as a Mobility Partner in the Global Employer Services group. Throughout his career, Mike’s focus has been to deliver exceptional client service and act as the trusted single partner contact point for his clients, delivering the full range of employee related advice and services.
