Matthew Sinclair is a Director in the Economic Advisory team and leads its work around the digital economy.
Matthew joined Deloitte in 2017. Before that, he worked for boutique economics and communications consultancies, which included managing projects on digital platform regulation for the UK Government (BEIS), the European Parliament and MasterCard. He started his career in the think tank sector.
His work at Deloitte has included studies considering regulatory principles for industrial IoT data sharing for Vodafone; addressing the consumer and business impact of the introduction of real-time payments for MasterCard; estimating the impact of food delivery platforms in the restaurant sector for Uber; and assessing the potential impact of digital technologies against the UN Sustainable Development Goals for the Global e-Sustainability Initiative. He has also supported strategy projects for media and technology clients, providing a quantitative lens on the consequences of potential changes.
