Paul Clay

Paul is a Partner within the Innovation Tax Services group of our Gi³ practice based in London. He has more than 16 years’ experience advising clients on R&D tax issues. His experience started within the corporation tax practice which has given him a broad knowledge of the tax issues affecting companies, whilst his specialisation in R&D tax has led to a deep understanding of the R&D regimes and interpretation of the legislation. Paul’s experience enables him to assist clients with all aspects of their R&D claims, overseeing the whole R&D claim process and successfully managing the interactions with HMRC. Paul has assisted a variety of companies with their R&D claims from start-ups to large companies. Paul has extensive experience across a wide array of sectors including fin tech, construction, TMT, information technology and bio tech and life sciences. Paul has a degree in Business Studies and Information Management and is a chartered accountant with the ICAEW, having achieved the ACA qualification.
