Sarah is a Partner in our Gi³ practice and has over 20 years’ experience working in international and UK corporate tax. Sarah specialises in R&D and Patent Box tax incentives and leads the firm’s Patent Box practice including the liaison with HMRC and HMT on Patent Box tax relief. Sarah also works with colleagues across the Deloitte Network on tax incentives reliefs. In addition Sarah advises clients on the taxation of Intangibles and is a member of the UK’s intangibles core team.
Sarah joined Arthur Andersen’s tax practice in 1998, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001 and transferred to Deloitte’s tax practice in 2002. Sarah was seconded to the HMRC Patent Box team for a period of one year as the regime was developed. Since her return, she has focused on assisting clients across a wide range of industries to establish and agree methodologies and facilitate the engagement with HMRC.
Sarah holds both an BA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Durham University.
