Sarah is a Partner in our Gi³ practice and has over 20 years’ experience working in international and UK corporate tax. Sarah specialises in R&D and Patent Box tax incentives and leads the firm’s Patent Box practice. She leads Deloitte’s liaison with HMRC and HMT on both R&D and Patent Box tax reliefs. Sarah also works with colleagues across the Deloitte Network on tax incentives reliefs. In addition Sarah advises clients on the taxation of Intangibles and is a member of the UK’s intangibles core team.

Sarah joined Arthur Andersen’s tax practice in 1998, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001 and transferred to Deloitte’s tax practice in 2002. Sarah was seconded to the HMRC Patent Box team for a period of one year as the regime was developed. Since her return, she has focused on assisting clients across a wide range of industries to establish and agree methodologies and facilitate the engagement with HMRC.

Sarah holds both an BA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Durham University.
