Meet the speakers
Monica is a principal with more than 28 years of experience serving financial services clients. She is the US Financial Services Leader for Deloitte LLP. As the US Financial Services Leader, Monica oversees the various financial services sectors, including banking, capital markets, insurance, investment management, and real estate. In this role, she is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the practice, leadership development and succession, resource alignment, and other market initiatives. She leads the integration and collaboration of Deloitte’s key businesses including audit, tax, consulting, and risk and financial advisory, to bring comprehensive solutions to our industry clients. Additionally, Monica serves on Deloitte’s Global Financial Services Industry Leadership Council, which ensures the consistency and alignment of our services to multiple global clients. Monica is a thought leader, frequent speaker, and author on industry trends. She serves as the lead client service partner for a US regional bank client, overseeing all services we provide to the organization. She has deep knowledge of the banking sector, with a focus on payments, and has experience leading diverse teams towards a common goal – delivering superior client service. She has led projects at multiple global institutions that leverage Deloitte’s significant capabilities across multiple domains, including technology, regulatory compliance, cyber, human capital, audit, tax, and M&A. Monica joined Deloitte in 2003 and has served in several client and marketplace leadership positions. Prior to joining Deloitte, she was a principal at a management consulting firm.
Ricardo is a principal in Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Risk & Financial Advisory practice. He serves as a Sustainability and Climate Risk Leader for Deloitte in the US. Ricardo helps financial institutions navigate complex and evolving Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) expectations and regulations. This role is a natural extension to his focus on large and complex industry transformations that requires a combination of risk, compliance, analytics, technology, and business understanding. He has more than 25 years of experience serving the financial services industry and clients in Latin America, the United States, and Europe. Ricardo holds a Master of Sciences degree in Statistics and Financial Engineering from New York University’s Stern School of Business, as well as Professional Risk Manager (PRM), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) certifications awarded by Professional Risk Managers' International Association (PRMIA) and Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
Kristen is a partner with Deloitte & Touche LLP and leads Sustainability and ESG Services. Kristen also serves as the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited’s Global Audit & Assurance Sustainability and Climate Services leader and the Integrated Reporting Community of Practice leader. Kristen serves as a member of the Global Reporting Initiative Community, the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Assurance Task Force, and the Sustainable Stock Exchange Initiative Corporate Working Group; and as chair of the AICPA Sustainability Task Force. Kristen has more than 25 years of experience with Deloitte, beginning her career in Deloitte’s Audit and Advisory Services, working in Deloitte’s National Office in several capacities, and working with the deputy CEO of Deloitte LLP focused on regulatory and public policy matters. Kristen is a CPA (Connecticut and Missouri) and CGMA and earned SASB’s Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting Credential. Kristen completed the Berkeley Law Executive Education Certification ESG: Navigating the Board’s Role. Kristen also serves as a member of the Eureka College Board of Trustees and the Financial Women’s Association. She lives in Greenwich, Connecticut, with her three-year-old daughter.
