Kate Hardin, executive director of Deloitte’s Research Center for Energy and Industrials, has worked in the energy industry for 25 years. She leads Deloitte’s research team covering the implications of the energy transition for the industrial, oil, gas, and power sectors. She has served as an alumni expert at Yale’s Center for Business and Environment, and she is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Stanley serves as Deloitte’s US & Global Energy, Resources & Industrials (ER&I) Industry Leader. He oversees and drives the development and execution of the overall ER&I strategy across all geographies and businesses, including more than 44,000 professionals and serving close to 75% of the Global Fortune 500 clients. The ER&I industry practice represents the Industrial Products & Construction; Oil, Gas & Chemicals; Mining & Metals, and Power, Utilities & Renewables sectors. Stanley has more than 30 years of industry and global client leader experience, and has worked with some of the largest names in the industry on a range of business issues, assisting client executives in strategy, restructuring, mergers, operations optimization, and technology adoption. Dedicated to helping clients navigate the fourth Industrial Revolution and transitioning to a lower carbon future, Stanley has worked with clients to become more sustainable, develop decarbonizing strategies and energy-efficient solutions that address rising environmental and social challenges. He has published several articles on ESG, sustainable strategies, and smart energy management strategies for industrials. Stanley is proud to serve on the Millstein Center for Global Markets & Governance Board of Advisors, United States Energy Association Board of Directors, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington Board of Directors, and the Afterschool Alliance Board of Directors. He is a member of the Executive Leadership Council. Stanley has received a Bachelor of Science from Wofford College and Master of Business Administration from Duke University–Fuqua School of Business.

As a principal in Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory, Katie currently serves as the leader of the Business Insurance Claims Consulting and the Energy, Resources & Industrials (ER&I) industry practices. Katie brings more than 20 years of experience assisting clients with damages assessments, lost profit calculations, insurance claims preparation, and disputes and investigations. In her ER&I industry leadership role, she manages over 1,000 Deloitte professionals in the areas of Transactions, M&A, Regulatory/Legal Support, Cyber, Strategic Risk, and Accounting/Internal Controls services. Prior to these roles, Katie led Deloitte’s Environmental & Sustainability Consulting services and subsequently held practice leadership roles in the oil and gas, and power and utilities sectors, working with clients and Boards of Directors to assess and manage risks to corporate, functional, and operational strategies.
