Meet the speakers

Nikki Beck
Nikki is a principal in Deloitte’s Mergers, Acquisitions and Restructuring (MARS) practice and focuses her efforts on serving clients in the Life Sciences and Health Care sector. Nikki has supported clients in a variety of roles including pre and post deal M&A integration planning, cross-functional business readiness assessment, synergy identification and tracking, program / project management oversight, Day 1 and Command Center set up, legal entity review and transition, and organizational design and change management. She has directly supported leaders across a range of functions including Legal, Finance, Accounting, HR, Sourcing, Risk, Sustainability, and Research and Development. She has also led full PMI programs both in North America and Europe. She is also the MARS National Purpose Leader. As an alumnus of Teach For America, she has always been passionate about connecting her impact to broader societal challenges and now works with her Deloitte colleagues to bring that to her clients as well. She also is the Champion of the MARS Parent Network and is the proud mom to three young boys. Prior to joining Deloitte, Nikki graduated with her MBA / MPA from the University of Texas where she concentrated her studies in finance and entrepreneurship. She also has a BSE in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Brian Lightle
Brian is an advisory Mergers & Acquisitions partner with more than 25 years of professional experience with Deloitte (over 20 years dedicated to M&A Transaction Services). Brian leads M&A transactions with leading global private equity firms and large multi-national corporations primarily focusing on the technology industry, including software development and deployment, mobile applications, semi-conductor design, fabrication, assembly and testing, SaaS, B2B commerce, hardware and networking. Brian has an undergraduate degree from Kansas State University and masters degree from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Brian is also a U.S. Certified Public Accountant in Texas and California.

Rochel Hoffman
Rochel leads Deloitte Australia’s ESG M&A practice, working with Private Equity and Corporate clients to embed ESG across the deal lifecycle to drive enhanced value and to ensure alignment with investor expectations. Rochel has over 10 years of ESG experience delivering ESG advisory services, including due diligence, post-deal integration, ESG strategy and disclosure development to both listed and private companies across a diverse range of sectors, including energy and resources (including renewables), infrastructure, health, technology, consumer and financial services.

Tanay Shah
Tanay is a principal in Deloitte Consulting LLP’s M&A and Restructuring Strategy and Diligence practice. He focuses on helping his clients grow through developing strategies that address buy, sell, build, or partner growth options, followed by diligence and potential restructurings. Tanay works with clients in consumer, hospitality, and private equity to grow and adapt during periods of rapid change and uncertainty.
