Meet the speakers
Bob is a managing director with Deloitte LLP focused on expanding Deloitte’s services to private companies through Deloitte Private. His responsibilities include operations, business development, marketing, public relations, advertising, and communications. Bob is a member of the Deloitte Private Leadership Committee and leads the Deloitte Private global brand and marketing organization, as well as the US Best Managed Companies program. Prior to his current roles, he served as chief of staff for Deloitte’s chairman of the board and has held numerous marketing and leadership positions since joining the firm in 1998. Bob received his MBA from Fordham University and BS in political science from the College of the Holy Cross. He is the chairman of the board of United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties and a board member of Pro-Mujer, a women's empowerment organization serving 250,000 women in Latin America.
Based in Charlotte, Phil is the chief executive officer of Deloitte Corporate Finance LLC (DCF), Deloitte’s National Investment Banking practice in the United States, which is one of the leading M&A advisors to the middle market. Phil also leads DCF's Business Services Group. Prior to joining DCF, he served as a managing director and co-founding partner at McColl Partners LLC and led the firm's Financial and Business Services Group. Phil has served as a lead advisor for the sale or acquisition mandates of numerous companies in each of the following industries: human resource services, outsourced software, postsecondary education, corporate training, community banking, and consumer finance, among others. Previously, he was at Bowles Hollowell Conner/First Union Securities and Lehman Brothers. Wendy serves as the US Family Enterprise leader. In this role, she works closely with first generation and multi-generational owned businesses and their owners to help them identify and navigate the unique characteristics and needs of family enterprises. Wendy also partners across all of the functions to identify service offerings most relevant to family enterprises. Additionally, she contributes to thought leadership efforts to differentiate Deloitte’s Family Enterprise practice and enhance our brand in the US and global marketplace. Wendy also leads the Private Wealth Tax sector of the Investment Management industry practice. In this role, she works with colleagues nationally to develop and deliver innovative tax offerings related to income, gift, and estate tax planning matters for Private Wealth clients. Her clients include family offices, investment vehicles, closely-held operating businesses, and ultra-high net worth families who have complex investments both in the US and abroad.
