APICS Advances Supply Chain Careers with Student Competition in Collaboration with Deloitte
Industry leaders launch 2018 APICS Case Competition to promote opportunities for students worldwide
SAN ANTONIO, TX, October 16, 2017 — Today, from APICS 2017, the flagship supply chain event, APICS, the professional association for supply chain management, in collaboration with Deloitte Consulting LLP, announced the 2017–2018 APICS Case Competition. This series of global case competition events aims to expose college and university students to the supply chain and to career opportunities in the industry.
This month, teams comprised of two to four students will compete at their colleges and universities for a chance to attend regional case competition events beginning in February 2018 at Deloitte’s offices in Atlanta, Georgia; Chicago, Illinois; Costa Mesa, California; Mexico City, Mexico; Parsippany, New Jersey; Toronto, Canada; and Shanghai, China. There will be an additional location in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Regional finalists will compete and a winner will be announced at the APICS Case Competition taking place during the APICS 2018 conference Sept. 29–Oct. 1, 2018, in Chicago.
The 2017–2018 APICS Case Competition aims to empower students to explore forward-thinking topics, covering end-to-end supply chain,

Practitioners in Deloitte Consulting LLP’s Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations practice and APICS staff will judge student presentations at the regional and final events, providing students with direct feedback and insight into the industry. The prize money pool will total $5,000 for the first-, second- and third-place teams
