Deloitte Acquires Assets from Entigence to Enhance Data Management Services for Higher Education
WASHINGTON, Aug. 16, 2021 — Deloitte today announced that it has purchased select assets of Entigence Corporation, a Virginia-based small business that develops enterprise resource planning solutions for higher education and public sector organizations. As part of this transaction, the majority of Entigence personnel will be joining Deloitte.
This transaction will enable Deloitte to provide enhanced analytics and cloud data management services to higher education clients to help strengthen their academic and administrative operations. The transaction includes purchase of the asset Lyterati, an app that helps institutions organize and host faculty accomplishments in research, teaching, and service, as well as workflow-based annual reporting, contract management processes, and insights for strategic planning.
“This transaction will expand Deloitte’s capabilities to serve our higher education clients, and includes a product that can help them gain valuable insights about their faculty members’ accomplishments,” said Roy Mathew, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, and Deloitte’s higher education practice leader.
“Enhanced cloud ERP solutions with embedded analytics capabilities help higher education institutions improve administrative functions, increase efficiency and support data-based decision-making,” said Jennifer J. Walcott, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, and Deloitte’s enterprise performance offering portfolio leader. “The addition of the Entigence personnel who are joining Deloitte, along with the Lyterati app, will enable us to expand the high-quality services we offer our higher education clients.”
Entigence offers advisory and implementation services and products for data management, such as faculty management, roadmaps for analytics, budget and resource models, and risk assessment and mitigation capabilities. “Deloitte and Entigence have a shared commitment to client success and the delivery of sustainable and high-performing solutions,” said Rumy Sen, chief executive officer at Entigence Corporation. “We think this transaction will be a great opportunity for Deloitte to bring immediate value to the higher education market.”
