Deloitte Collaborates With Anthropic to Advance Enterprise AI Capabilities Through AI Training and Certification Program

As part of a commitment to certifying 15,000 professionals globally, Deloitte will purchase licenses of Anthropic’s Claude models for hands-on training and development

NEW YORK, April 2, 2025 — Deloitte announced today the launch of a Generative AI and advanced AI applications certification program in collaboration with Anthropic. This program, in conjunction with Deloitte AI Academy™, an advanced school within the Deloitte Technology Academy, will target the certification of 15,000 Deloitte practitioners globally to equip them with state-of-the-art knowledge in Generative AI and specialized training on Anthropic’s advanced AI models and methodologies.

The curriculum builds on the foundation of Deloitte’s Trustworthy AIframework to teach its professionals how to bring safe, reliable and trusted AI to the market. Practitioners can develop specialized skills in Anthropic's distinctive capabilities, including Constitutional AI principles, Anthropic’s approach to building AI systems that are helpful, harmless and honest, and Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard for connecting AI assistants to systems where data lives.

As part of this expanded relationship, Deloitte is making a significant investment in Anthropic's enterprise solutions, including Claude enterprise licenses and the development of industry-specific solutions using Anthropic's advanced AI models. With these added capabilities, practitioners can further the development of several Anthropic-powered business applications for use by clients.

Deloitte has already taken solutions to market that can be powered by Claude, including AI Assist which incorporates GenAI tools into functional phases of software development lifecycle and Data as a Service, that helps financial institutions migrate to a modern data platform on the cloud and use data and AI to augment revenue streams, stay compliant, and minimize costs.

“As part of part of Deloitte’s $1.4 billion Project 120 investment in learning and development, this initiative reinforces Deloitte’s overall commitment to bridging the AI skills gap and training top talent in state-of-the-art technology,” said Jim Rowan, head of AI, and principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP. “By extending our relationship with Anthropic and using their Claude family of models, we can offer Deloitte practitioners hands-on access to their leading Anthropic technologies. This collaboration underscores the importance of scaling trusted, transparent, and secure technologies — which should be table stakes in today’s world.”

"Through this program, we are not only empowering a vast network of professionals with cutting-edge AI capabilities but also ensuring that these technologies are implemented with the highest standards of safety and responsibility,” said Anthropic Global Head of Partnerships Dan Rosenthal. “Together, we are paving the way for a future where AI can drive innovation and have positive societal impact."

Deloitte and Anthropic announced their alliance back in July 2024. This alliance combines Deloitte’s industry experience with Anthropic’s Claude model family to develop customized, enterprise-grade AI solutions that prioritize the trustworthy and human-centered use of GenAI.

“We are proud to be able to bring this first-of-its kind certification to our professionals as part of our commitment to building leading-edge skills and credentials,” said Deb Johnson, Deloitte Technology Academy, founder, chief learning officer, Deloitte Consulting LL founder, Chief Learning Officer for the Deloitte Technology Academy.

Deloitte continues to scale its AI capabilities, alliances and offerings following the introduction of its Generative AI practice in 2023. With a full spectrum of tailored AI services and its deep industry and domain knowledge, Deloitte supports clients at every stage of their transformational journey, from developing AI strategies to building and implementing Generative AI solutions that enhance productivity and deliver greater client impact. Deloitte is infusing Generative AI capabilities across its own enterprise, rolling out purpose-specific LLMs and chatbots to support specialized teams across its business. These tools are applied with Deloitte’s Trustworthy AI framework to manage AI risks and improve user confidence and trust. Additionally, Deloitte is increasing AI fluency, training more than 120,000 professionals via the Deloitte AI Academy and investing more than $2 billion in global technology learning and development initiatives to boost skills in AI and other areas.
