Glenn Davidson Joins Deloitte With a Focus on Human Capital Transformation
WASHINGTON, Dec. 3, 2018 — Deloitte announced today that Glenn Davidson recently joined Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice as a human capital transformation executive for Deloitte Consulting LLP. In his new role, Glenn will focus on helping federal and state government agencies rethink and reimagine their organization’s employee experience, workforce strategy, and human resources operations.
“Glenn’s recent work at the US Department of Commerce is a great example of taking big picture transformation ideas and actually turning them into operational action,” said Dan Helfrich, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP
“People are at the heart of any government transformation and Glenn’s ability to engage people – as well as leverage technology and streamline processes – to make a transformation successful is well-known in government,” said Sean Morris, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP and human capital leader for its Government & Public Services practice. “As technology continues to rapidly evolve and change how work gets done, having someone of Glenn’s strong track record – working for and with the government – will be beneficial to our clients.”
Davidson most recently served as the executive director of enterprise services for the US Department of Commerce where he was responsible for planning, designing, building and running the federal government’s first cabinet department-level, multifunction, shared services operations. Commerce’s enterprise services provide human resources, acquisition, and information technology services to the department’s 47,000 employees across 12 bureaus and the Office of the Secretary.
Before joining Commerce, Davidson served in several senior-level industry roles, helping federal agencies and state governments with shared services, operations, and human performance. Davidson began his career in government, working as a legislative aide to U.S. Representative Ronald M. Mottl (Ohio) and then as chief of staff to then-Governor L. Douglas Wilder of Virginia.
Davidson presently serves as chairman of the board of trustees for the Science Museum of Virginia. He is a graduate of American University with a bachelor’s degree in international relations. He also holds a master’s degree in science, technology and public policy from the George Washington University.
