WASHINGTON, Sept. 19, 2017 — Deloitte announced today that Jeff Matthews — a recognized leader in space innovation and the venture capital community — has joined as a specialist leader in Deloitte Consulting LLP, focusing on the technology workforce.
“As our country faces new challenges and opportunities in space, we are helping our clients think differently,” said Brett Loubert, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP and Los Angeles Federal leader. “Jeff’s creative and collaborative work with leaders from startups, nonprofits, venture capital firms and industry organizations mirrors our own multifaceted, tech-based approach to this new space industry. Bringing talented people, such as Jeff, to Deloitte will add to our client offerings, expand our work in virtual reality and beyond, and grow our space practice in Los Angeles.”
Matthews most recently served as the director of venture strategy and research for the Space Frontier Foundation. While there, he leveraged his extensive experience in aerospace market analysis and venture capital investment to drive industry collaboration and innovation.
“Throughout my career, I’ve focused on building partnerships across the industry to drive innovation,” said Matthews. “I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to Deloitte and helping to advance both the technology workforce and the aerospace industry.”
Matthews’ experience includes providing management advisory services to early stage companies developing products and services in financial technology, data analytics, power generation and aerospace.
He is the co-author for a pending provisional patent application and an advisor to a pre-revenue investment bank. Matthews has also consulted for the NASA Office of the Chief Financial Officer’s strategic investment division, where he oversaw the products used to assess NASA’s strategic objectives and goals.
