My Deloitte Story: Sunny Le

Sunny Le shares insights into her career at Deloitte

Sunny Le is a manager in Deloitte Consulting LLP's Human Resources Transformation (HRT) practice, specializing in the intersection of HR strategy and operations. She assists clients in enhancing the synergy between their business processes and technology solutions to optimize delivery and foster strategic integration among their teams. Sunny also holds various internal leadership roles, focused on supporting non-profit organizations in alignment with Deloitte’s commitment to make a positive impact for our people and our communities.

Born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Sunny immigrated to the United States with her family at eleven months old. Her parents ensured she stayed connected to her heritage by enrolling her in language school during visits to Vietnam. Her biggest asset is her ‘can-do’ attitude, coupled with her ability to navigate and adapt to ambiguous environments while remaining calm and collected.

Sunny joined Deloitte in 2019 as an experienced hire. Her impact includes developing a long-term strategy to modernize and consolidate over sixty aging legacy case management systems, providing enterprise portfolio management and organizational change management support, and advising on HR and Learning transformation for her various clients.

Below, Sunny shares some insight about her career at Deloitte.

How has Deloitte supported your career journey in the Oracle practice?

I have been fortunate to be surrounded by mentors, coaches, and both practice and account leaders who have invested in my growth throughout my tenure at Deloitte, providing me with the space to truly find and amplify my voice. I am also grateful to my Deloitte employee resource groups who have offered me invaluable coaching and guidance, as well as a sense of belonging and community at the organization.

Why is Deloitte's commitment to empowering our people important to you personally, and how does it align with your own values and career aspirations?

I aspire to become a partner, principal, or managing director at Deloitte one day, and the organization's commitment to empowering our people is incredibly important to me. As an Asian American woman leader, this commitment not only paves the way for me to achieve my career goals but also resonates with my own values of culture and belonging. The resources, mentorship, and opportunities offered by Deloitte will equip me with the tools I need to excel in my career. Knowing that the organization supports women in leadership roles gives me a strong sense of belonging.

What keeps you busy outside of your work at Deloitte?

Outside of work, I am a caregiver to my parents, which has been a deeply fulfilling experience. In my free time, you can find me taking on new workout challenges or picking up tennis and golf!
