Can you share the most interesting part of your career journey?

The most interesting part of my journey has been my ability to build my career at Deloitte. This flexibility allows me to have experience in different areas of the health care industry that I serve.

AI is continuously evolving. If you don’t stay on top of it, you won't be able to catch up.

At the beginning of my journey at Deloitte, I decided to be involved in technical roles to build the technical foundation required to manage AI projects.

By networking with Deloitte leaders, I was able to join a project that gave me the experience I needed to engage in meaningful conversations with our technical team. Later on, as I was growing my AI career, I decided to play a more strategic role. I used the same networking approach to join a project where I helped my client define its data science journey.

What excites you most about working with data and AI?

There’s a continuous learning loop that you need to embark on daily. There’s always something popping up in the AI space. A couple of years back, when I started looking into data science, most of the analysis was done using structured data.

Today, the majority of AI teams need to explore how a problem could be solved using other types of data or AI and machine learning models. AI is continuously evolving. If you don’t stay on top of it, you won't be able to catch up.

Describe an interesting project that you have worked on.

One of my favorite projects was when the team implemented a conversational AI solution for one of the country’s largest health plans. I got to see how AI has interdependencies with other disciplines. I learned that being successful requires a holistic approach and bringing people with different backgrounds and experiences to your team—from designers to developers to linguistics experts.
