Medicaid expansion

​In 2014, states are expected to continue making decisions regarding Medicaid expansion. These decisions could have dramatic implications for the many stakeholders involved—states, the federal government and the health care industry as a whole will be watching as the results come in.

This map provides a breakdown of each state’s decision on Medicaid eligibility expansion as of August 28, 2014. It also includes a summary of the number of Medicaid-eligible adults per state and highlights the states with alternative expansion proposals.
