Public-private collaboration with American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP)
Deloitte and AFSP have a continuing collaboration dedicated to bringing stakeholders together to understand and develop strategies for suicide prevention across the nation. Deloitte facilitated a Veteran Suicide Prevention Workshop with AFSP attended by 100+ cross-industry leaders to identify challenges and advance evidence-based public health strategies for veteran suicide prevention, focusing on rural, women, and American Indian/Alaska Native veterans. A comprehensive community action plan comprising tailored recommendations to address specific community needs was shared with senior officials.
Our thinking
Deloitte is bringing together mental health leaders and experts from federal, state, academic, and nonprofit organizations for a webcast series entitled “Shaping Tomorrow: A dialogue series on the future of mental health and suicide prevention.” This series aims to foster dialogue about mental health and explore topics such as the current mental health environment, the future state, and opportunities for collaboration.
