Role of AI in Evolvement of Natural Language Processing and Computer-Aided Design

Our eighth event in the series was presented by the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad and Deloitte AI Institute.

Leading Conversations in AI

Launched on March 8, 2021, the Deloitte AI Institute discusses trending topics in the AI space with the series “Leading Conversations in AI.” To share knowledge about subjects related to implementing AI at the workplace, ethical ways to use AI, diversity in AI, and other AI-related topics, we bring in experts and researchers from a varied range of industries, startups, enterprises, academia, and research groups to you through various formats.

When we talk about diversity in AI, we understand with the ever-increasing impact of AI, there is a need for more diverse voices in the workforce such that AI solutions work for everyone. Deloitte is one of the first professional services firms to establish women’s advancement programs and diversity initiatives. With the Deloitte AI Institute, we continue to honor this commitment by equipping women with the knowledge and resources needed for a career in AI. Through the Leading conversations in AI Meet-up Series, women leaders who are making an impact on artificial intelligence and its future are brought forth to share their knowledge and experiences.

Throughout the series, our speakers will deep dive into a multitude of dimensions of AI in each session - conversational AI, robotics, ethics, scaling AI, future of work, diversity in AI, synthetic data, MLOps, neuromorphic computing, computer vision, data and AI governance, speech recognition, and many more.

The eighth installment brings the focus on how academia, commercial focus, and their partnerships have evolved from imaging and linguistics to Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Natural Language Processing (NLP).

Panelists include:

Sanghamitra navigates through the all-women panel of specialists to learn about the latest AI innovations and trends in NLP, CAD, and other deep learning technologies. The engagement between academic research and industry has historically contributed to some of the greatest advances in AI and has transformed the way industries operate. The session elaborates on the evolution journey of these technologies and how they can be applied to real-world use cases. Further, Sanghamitra connects these distinct topics to the Age of With– a concept developed by Deloitte to promote human-machine collaboration wherein humans and machines do more together than either could alone.
