Caren has extensive experience in international tax, including government experience with the Office of Associate Chief Counsel (International), Internal Revenue Service (IRS). She specializes in foreign tax credits, sourcing, expense allocation, apportionment, and subpart F. Her prior experience includes working as an attorney in the Office of Associate Chief Counsel, IRS. She began her career as an attorney advisor to the Honorable B. John Williams, Jr. of the United States Tax Court.
Caren has written numerous articles on foreign tax credit related issues and has developed and taught internal and external international tax training programs. In addition, she has spoken at the American Bar Association, International Fiscal Association, and other conferences.
Caren holds a BA from Yale University, JD from American University Washington College of Law, and an LLM in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.
