Charmaine is a Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory principal focused on controls innovation at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Charmaine has more than 15 years of experience serving the technology and media industries. Charmaine serves her clients in various aspects, including Internal Audit (IA), External Audit, Regulatory Compliance and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) readiness, specifically focusing on the following types of engagements:

• Building SOX programs and leading global SOX efforts
• Performing IA risk assessments and executing strategic, operational, financial, and IT audits
• Performing fraud risk assessments
• Assisting the first line (management) to implement assurance by design control principles as part of major system implementations, business transformations and/or organizational changes
• Assisting the second line (compliance) with building and executing global compliance programs
• Assisting the third line (Internal Audit) with assessing the risks of the company, including the processes performed by the first and second lines
• Enhancing the use of tools, data analytics, and robotic process automation (RPA) throughout the organization
• Evaluating risks and exposures related to new/changing business models and new/advanced technologies such as Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
