Charles Holley, retired CFO of Walmart, serves as an independent senior advisor to Deloitte and is part of the CFO Program team, providing guidance and counsel to staff, clients, and senior leadership. Charles contributes to all aspects of the CFO Program’s offerings—from events to thought leadership—providing his unique CFO experiences. In his role, Charles contributes to Deloitte’s vision “to be recognized as the pre-eminent advisor to the CFO.”
Holley served as CFO of Walmart from December 2010 to January 2016. During his tenure, he was responsible for accounting and control, corporate strategy and development, business planning and analysis, internal auditing, treasury, tax and several other key areas of the company. Before Walmart, Holley worked for Tandy Corporation (now Radio Shack) as managing director for its European Memorex division and served as director of finance for its international operations.
Charles serves on the Board of Directors of Amgen, the Dean’s Advisory Board for the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas Presidents’ Development Board, as well as the University of Texas system Chancellor’s Council.
Charles received his BBA in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and earned his MBA in finance at the University of Houston.
