Daniel is a senior vice president in Deloitte’s Corporate Restructuring Group (CRG). As a member of Deloitte’s practice in Australia, he served as a turnaround adviser to both businesses and management experiencing financial under-performance or uncertainty, linking operational actions to financial outcomes that provide the basis for better decision making and performance improvement. He has a strong understanding of financials and operations, together with a creative, innovative, and collaborative approach. His broad experience includes profit improvement programs, operational restructuring, strategic choice making, and financial diagnostics and has provided platforms for problem-solving across a broad range of business issues, industries, and teams.

A few notable engagements include:

  • Project leader in several transport companies to deliver strategic and operational improvement plans including pricing strategy & execution, supply chain improvement and organization restructuring; activities included core profitability and operations analysis, strategic choice making, turnaround planning, and stakeholder support
  • Advisor to senior lender of a stressed mining services business where debt load was no longer sustainable with operating performance, while supporting management to restructure the business and embed new tools and processes; key activities included capital restructuring scenarios, forecast reviews, stakeholder and project management, workshop facilitation, development of analytical management tools, models, and processes
  • Assisted several leading consumer products companies to analyze and reshape their go-to-market operating model to adjust to a shifted market and intensifying competition; execution covered customer engagement strategies, product portfolio improvements, manufacturing and supply chain improvements
  • Project leader and manager for two Chinese businesses for a combined period of six months, delivering revised strategies and restructured operating models; key activities included core profitability (customer & product), cost structure analysis, strategic choice making, scenario analysis, turnaround initiatives, project planning
  • Conducted Independent business reviews on behalf of secured lenders for their customers experiencing performance decline, covenant breaches, and/or requiring financing
