Irwin Panitch

Irwin specializes in corporate mergers and acquisitions, representing both private equity funds and large multinational corporations. His areas of focus include LBOs, domestic and international reorganizations, spin-offs, IPOs, financings, and bankruptcies and workouts. Irwin practices extensively before the Internal Revenue Service and has obtained favorable rulings on several large transactions. He has also drafted tax opinions on public transactions and internal restructurings for large public companies.

Irwin earned his JD from University of Pennsylvania School of Law, where he was the executive editor of University of Pennsylvania Law Review. He has an LLM in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.
