Steven Cady

Steven is a seasoned restructuring professional, with nearly five years with Deloitte CRG, and an extensive background in the finance industry. Prior to joining Deloitte, Steven performed financial analysis at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System where he primarily focused on regulatory data provided by commercial banks. Before that, he was a finance professional responsible for analyzing the profitability of institutional shipping contracts at the United Parcel Service.

Some of Steven’s notable experience includes:

• Managed a team of financial analysts for a federal corporation responsible for insuring defined benefit pension plans, where he analyzed defined benefit pension plans covered under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act; valued distressed companies and analyzed the affordability of the pension plans; identified and followed up on controlled group transactions that put the agency at risk and threatened the strength of the defined benefit plans; and assisted with settlement negotiations
• Led a team responsible for determining the fair value of a minority equity interest in a live music venue and restaurant located in New York City held by a federal law enforcement agency
• Provided guidance and oversight to a team performing pre-award surveys on bidders for a $1 billion+ security services contract, including independent evaluations of the financial capabilities of each bidder, in accordance with the Determination of Financial Responsibility
• Assisted a consortium responsible for the reconfiguration of the 800 MHz band mandated by the Federal Communications Commission in evaluating the impact of potential events on a letter of credit posted by the party responsible for funding the cost incurred by public safety systems and other incumbent licensees; the team performed a scenario analysis to determine potential actions by the distressed subsidiary and analyzed the strategic, financial, and operational impact of each event on the reconfiguration and on the letter of credit
