ACCA Vietnam and Deloitte Vietnam co-found the Lighting Up Your Future Scholarship Fund

ACCA Vietnam (The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and Deloitte Vietnam jointly launch a scholarship fund named “Lighting Up Your Future” for high potential university students  of business, economics, finance, banking, accounting and auditing who may experience financial difficulties while studying at university. The total amount of this scholarship program is up to 1 billion VND per year.

 

The selection criteria of the Lighting Up Your Future scholarship program includes:

- Achieving a strong and consistent academic record with a minimum GPA from 7.0 in the previous school year;

- GPA of 6.5 for students from remote and and ethnic minority areas; 

- Strong self motivation and a desire to make their career in the Audit or Advisory professions.

 

Each scholarship is in the value of VND 10 million and is available to applicants who meet these criteria. To show continuous support for students, the organizers will also offer Deloitte’s special summer internship program. Recipients of this high level scholarship will also have the chance to join 3 'soft skills' training courses by ACCA for professional development.

Ha Thu Thanh – Chairwoman of Deloitte Vietnam. “The Lighting Up Your Future scholarship is founded with the very clear goal of laying a better foundation for Vietnamese youth through our financial support to disadvantaged high school students. We wish to offer this scholarship annually to Vietnamese students, ultimately giving them a better education.  We believe that our efforts will help in building a stronger foundation for Vietnam’s development in the years to come.”

 

Ms. Len Le – Head of ACCA Vietnam adds: “The scholarship co-founders expect the scholars, upon graduation, to help develop the auditing and advisory professions in Vietnam. They will also be able to share their knowledge and the skills they have learned to advance their career pathway. Ultimately, the scholarship aims to enable young people of ability to become the finance professionals of the future and help the Vietnamese business community as a whole.”
