Sherry is a managing director in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) group of Deloitte Corporate Finance LLC (DCF). She serves business and technology leaders of emerging and Fortune 100 companies by assisting with orchestrating wide-ranging buy-and sell-side services and providing strategic advisory services on growth and monetization options. She has spent more than 15 years in leadership roles in private equity/venture capital, investment banking, and senior financial management and has advised on more than 50 transactions.
Sherry has worked with companies across a broad spectrum of the TMT industry, including: cloud, digital media, location-based services, IT/BPO services, agriculture tech, financial tech, industrial tech, software, telecommunications, wireless, and voice recognition sectors. In addition to the TMT area, Sherry has also supported and closed deals in the pharmaceutical/med tech, automotive, manufacturing, consumer, and financial services industries. She has advised on a multitude of transaction types, which include mergers and acquisitions, corporate carve-outs, installment sales, public equities transactions, PIPEs, strategic alliances, and corporate fundraising initiatives for companies and clients in North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
Prior to joining DCF, Sherry spent seven years in the private equity industry. First she was in Silicon Valley in the early and late-stage venture capital community and later was with a large, $10B private equity firm; she has served as both an investing professional and a financial executive. Prior to her private equity experience, Sherry held several management positions at a large automotive original equipment manufacturer in the Controller's Staff, Corporate Strategy & Business Development, and Venture Capital areas, including leading the establishment of a Silicon Valley technology listening post in 2000. Sherry began her career as an engineer of a company's first production electric vehicle and is the inventor on two US patents.
