Deloitte roundtable on the likely impacts and appropriate responses

VAT in the GCC

Roundtable on the impacts of VAT on Oil & gas

The GCC region is widely recognized for its oil and gas reserves holding one of the major crude oil reserves in the world and being the largest producer and exporter of crude petroleum. The oil and gas industry plays an eminent role in the region accounting for a large chunk of the governments’ revenues. So how will the highly likely VAT implementation affect this sector?

Deloitte’s Tax practice in the Middle East is organizing a discursive and interactive forum to discuss, as a peer group, how VAT interacts with oil and gas companies and what the likely industry issues businesses will face in preparation for entry into the VAT system. The roundtable will take place in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 and will cover the general industry related VAT issues based on international experience, to serve as a basis for discussion.

The event will prove useful in helping affected businesses understand the likely scope and scale of VAT impacts, and what changes will be necessary to accommodate them.

We look forward to welcoming you to our event.
