The real estate and construction sector in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) supports large numbers of livelihoods and delivers the necessary infrastructure, commercial and residential spaces that are crucial to the continued development of the region. Whilst we still are waiting for domestic legislation in all six countries of the GCC, the VAT Treaty is now available. So how will the construction and real estate sector be impacted by VAT based on what is in the Treaty and the announcements made already?
