Mdu Luthuli

Mdu is a Senior Associate Director in the Deloitte Financial advisory – M&A Transactions Services team in Johannesburg.

Mdu’s focus for the past 13 years has been providing M&A transaction advise to private equity firms and trade buyers in South Africa, the rest of Africa, Canada and the United States.

Mdu has also led multiple cross border transactions in the rest of Africa, Europe and North America.

Mdu has managed and executed numerous transactions in various sectors including Consumer Business, Telecommunications, Media & Technology, Manufacturing, Energy, Resources & Industrials, Healthcare and Financial Services Institutions.

Mdu has extensive M&A experience in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) industry and serves as the TMT Leader for Financial Advisory in Deloitte South Africa.

Prior to joining Financial Advisory, Mdu served his articles with the Deloitte Durban office.

Mdu is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
