Michele Townsend is a Director in the Technology Assurance and Advisory business area of Deloitte Risk Advisory. She is an inspiring leader and strategically focussed on delivering organisational value through technology risk management. Her 17 years of IT audit, risk and controls experience across multiple industries, together with a track record of organised execution, ensures her clients enjoy a distinctive client experience. Michele is the Risk Advisory Director responsible for a number of key Deloitte clients spanning a number of different industries, including Banking, Insurance, Technology, Media, Retail and Manufacturing, amongst others. She currently specialises in IT Audit, Internal Controls, IT Risk and Governance, Third Party reporting (such as ISAE3402 / SOC2 reporting), the data and system implications of IFRS9 and IFRS4, and has a keen interest in Blockchain technologies.
