Audit Graduate Recruitment

The students we support financially become part of the Deloitte furniture long before they get their degrees and report for their first official day on the job. In South Africa the Audit Graduate Programme has an explicit mandate, to:

  • Attract, sign up and retain the best possible CA-stream students, with suitable demographics
  • Build eminence for the Deloitte brand in the CA graduate market and among school learners.

Even before we start awarding bursaries, since 2014 our people have visited various schools to reach out to those Grade 11 and 12 learners interested in becoming chartered accountants and in business management and entrepreneurship.

In Botswana, the Audit Graduate Programme has an explicit mandate, to attract, sign up and retain the best possible students with the highest Grade Point Averages. We offer Bachelor of Finance students internship positions in their 3rd year and trainee positions in their 4th year. Thereafter, we bond them for the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants programme for three years. Deloitte pays the school fees and supports them with everything regarding their studies.

When we do award bursaries, we deploy personal relationship officers to keep an eye on our beneficiaries, to give them every possible support so that they can get the most out of their studies and hit the ground running when they formally join our ranks. And we offer vacation programmes, appropriate to bursars’ academic progress. These programmes show students how the theoretical knowledge they’re gaining can be practically applied in the Deloitte auditing environment and they allow bursars to start building their own professional networks.
