Deloitte achieves highest APC pass rate for Big 4, with 70% candidate pass rate

South Africa, Johannesburg

Deloitte proudly congratulates all its candidates who successfully sat for the SAICA Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).

Deloitte achieved a *70% candidate pass rate and had four of twelve (Ahmed Ally; Mari-Louis Boshoff; Eduard du Plessis and Christin Thomas) candidates in the prestigious APC Honours roll.

The Assessment of Professional Competence is the second part of the qualifying examination, which assesses professional competence. To be eligible, candidates must have passed ITC, completed 20 months of a SAICA registered training contract and successfully completed a professional programme.

“I would like to congratulate the APC class of 2019 and in particular the four candidates in the APC Honours roll - your hard work has paid off. The APC is a very rigorous exam that requires candidates to display the highest levels of technical academic knowledge and skill. I would also like to encourage those who did not make it to not give up, with dedication and hard work they too can make it,”

-says Andrew Mackie, Audit & Assurance Leader at Deloitte Africa.

*SAICA results include all candidates who completed their training contract at Deloitte where Deloitte results only include those currently in employ at Deloitte.
