Graduate Programme

As a graduate, you will support the Assurance Services team to deliver on services in an advisory context to clients to help them drive a successful finance function. The programme consists of a 24 month general intern option and a 36 month ESG focused option.

Our Assurance services go beyond merely meeting statutory requirements. We help our clients perform better and achieve their business objectives. We listen to their needs, think about the business implications and tailor our approach accordingly.
Our team of advisors provide a unique set of skills to support finance leaders in solving both complex and day-to-day challenges in the finance function. We deliver our services across a variety of sectors, including Financial Services, Energy & Resources, Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Consumer, Life Sciences and Public Sector. In doing so, we each play to our strengths and specialise in one or more of the following key areas:

  • Close, consolidate and report improvement initiatives, including process, policy, automation and digitisation of the month-end financial close
  • Internal controls over financial reporting as required by JSE Listing Rule 3.84k, including digital enablement
  • Integrated reporting and report refresh initiatives to help our clients showcase value driven by their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) activities, including climate change
  • End-to-end accounting and reporting implications of proposed or planned transactions (such as mergers, acquisitions, integrations, separations and restructuring), including post-merger/separation planning for day one readiness of the finance function
  • Advice relating to changes in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or other regulatory requirements, including digital enablement and change adoption
  • Finance function operational support at month-end, year-end, or ‘on call’ accounting services.

Qualifications

Must have an undergraduate or postgraduate BSc/BCom/BSsc Degree:
  • Accounting (Non-CA)
  • Financial Accounting degree - must have accounting 3
  • Economics/Finance/Financial Management
  • Chemical engineering 
  • Environmental Science
  • IT/Informatics
  •  Internal Audit
  • Relevant Degree in Social Sciences, Sciences, Geography, Geology
  • Desired Qualifications
  • Postgraduate qualification on the above will be an advantage.
