Privacy Compliance is key

EU General Data Protection Regulation

The effective date of 25 May 2018 for enforcement of GDPR is here and organisations which process personal information of European Union (“EU”) residents should by now, at the very least, have a compliance implementation plan and roadmap in place.

Given the imminence of the May 25, 2018, enforcement deadline, now is the time to get started with all compliance initiatives, and no less can be said for the commencement of POPIA.

In this paper we cover the following:

  • Compliance with the European Union General Data
  • Protection Regulation by South African Organisations
  • Challenges faced by South African organisations from a GDPR perspective
  • Solutions for South African organisations to ensure compliance with the GDPR
